Engineering Operations Manager

About The Position

Responsibilities Include: · Manage hardware demand for organizations through efficient collaboration and coordination across multiple development sites and cross-functional departments/teams. · Negotiate demand from engineering leads, provide a consolidated report and analytical justification for budget approval. · Analyze supply to identify and resolve shortages and broadcast appropriate notifications to engineering leads. · Generate hardware related reports using a variety of tools for input and output. · Develop scripts/tools that automate the consolidation of demand, generate reports, and publish accurate dashboards. · Identify process improvements and implement/drive efficiency enhancements. · Develop pertinent program indicators to push information to internal teams and management. · Understand project constraints, consolidate these challenges and then recommend solutions. · Identify technology teams impacted by silicon, hardware board layout, and/or software changes as well as collaborates with them to adjust their hardware accordingly. · Represent engineering in weekly supply meetings to provide technical justification for driving builds on certain configurations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or related field.
  • Associate's degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • PMP Certification.
  • 5+ year of experience with technical project management including managing resources, mitigating risk, etc.
  • 5+ year of experience with business metrics such as customer support tickets, KPIs, etc.
  • 5+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization.

  • Participates in the tracking and compiling of engineering expenses and timelines against budgets.
  • Participates in creating budget reports quarterly or as needed.
