SUMMARY  The Director of Engineering Operations is responsible for overseeing all engineering, technical operations, maintenance and monitoring related to the network and customer facing services. This position provides direction and operational oversight to the Network Engineering & Operations (NEO), Technical Operations (TOC) and Advanced Services (ASM) Groups. The Director of Engineering Operations ensures that technical services, and network infrastructure is designed, deployed, and maintained to meet current and future customer demands while driving innovation, operational excellence, and profitability.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. *  Lead, Supervise and Develop managers and technical teams across multiple engineering functions. *  Works with WorldNet’s senior management staff to prepare the capital budget for the next four quarters, determining WorldNet’s yearly capital requirements adjusting and updating the figures as projects are approved and initiated. *  Establish performance objectives, operational KPIs and departmental goals aligned with company objectives. *  Ensures all network, and improvement projects are completed according to plans, within time and budget. *  Direct the design, implementation, and optimization of core and access network infrastructure. *  Lead initiatives to modernize and upgrade the network to meet growth and performance objectives. *  Responsible for the Operation of WorldNet’s network including establishing performance standards and monitoring of existing.  This especially includes Quality-of-Service (QoS) assessments, cut offs, voice quality, i.e., delay, jitter and data errors and instructing WorldNet engineering and operations when to add additional facilities to meet service objectives. Lead Engineering Operation teams to ensure rapid issue detection, effective troubleshooting, and swift resolution, maintaining high network availability. *  During Network Outages Events, is the Official in charge of commanding WorldNet’s Resources to guarantee that service interruption is handled with the highest priority and minimum time interval. *  Keeps abreast of developments in technology and competitor’s offerings and performs research and recommendation of new products, equipment and services to WorldNet’s Executive Team. *  Oversee the Advanced Services team, ensuring service delivery meets contractual and performance standards. *  Supervise and coordinate with third-party SOC providers to maintain robust security monitoring, performance, incident response, and compliance. *  Prepare and document departmental procedures and improvements that align with company objectives. *  Performs other duties as directed or as the job demands.  SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES  Directly supervises Engineering Managers and other personnel as assigned by the organization. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems and encouraging and supporting personal and professional growth through specific plans and consistent support.   QUALIFICATIONS   To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university; and ten years related experience and/or training.  At least six (6) years of experience in a leadership position as a Manager and/or Director. LANGUAGE SKILLS  Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets the most complex documents.  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.  Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.   Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Fully Bilingual (Spanish - English) MATHEMATICAL SKILLS  Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.  Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. REASONING ABILITY  Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.   Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.  Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
