You will be an excellent entry point into the utility industry, offering exposure to operations, construction coordination, and field support processes. This position maps to our Engineering classification and support four senior Work Coordinators, temporarily absorbing lower-complexity tasks to free senior staff for higher-priority operational work. You will help ensure efficient work planning, scheduling adjustments, materials coordination, system updates, and customer communication.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in coordination, dispatching, project support, or similar roles
  • Customer service
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Responsibilities

  • Adjust daily work plans, reallocate crews, and prioritize tasks based on real-time resource availability and supervisor updates.
  • Review and organize incoming designed work, monitor the real-time job queue, and assign routine or exception tasks as needed.
  • Prepare and validate construction work packets, ensuring all equipment, materials, and prerequisites (including locate tickets) are completed “just in time” for field execution.
  • Perform system updates, schedule modifications, and work acceptance processing.
  • Manage work rejections, triage additional or emergent work requests, and support schedule recovery to maintain promised start dates.
  • Communicate with internal supervisors, senior coordinators, team member groups, and external customers regarding scheduling, delays, or changes.
  • Support operational data integrity by gathering information, validating inputs, and updating systems and collaborative documents.
  • Help prepare status reports, documentation, and other operational materials.
