Join our dynamic team as a Data Center Engineering Technician, a critical guardian of technological infrastructure. This pivotal role involves maintaining the heartbeat of mission-critical technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations that power global digital experiences and contribute to an extraordinary 99.999% uptime. Engineering Technicians are Amazon’s front line for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation within Data Center Operation’s Mission Critical Facilities. This includes managing stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems, three-phase electrical systems (switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, wet cell batteries), and mechanical systems such as CRAC, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers/water chemical systems, air handlers, pumps, and motors. AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, supporting data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. The role involves working on challenging problems within a diverse team of engineers, specialists, and managers, collaborating across AWS to deliver high standards for safety and security while providing infinite capacity at low cost.
