About The Position

The Night Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the hotel’s public areas during overnight hours. This role ensures that all public floors, service area floors and restaurant furnishings are thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained to meet hotel standards and provide a welcoming environment for guests and staff. Requirements

A high school or equivalent education is preferred.
Previous floor cleaning experience preferred.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings are required.
Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with Crowne Plaza Lansing rules and regulations for the safe and effective operations of the Hotel’s facilities.
Associates who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subjects to disciplinary action, up to and including, separation.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain floors in common areas of hotel including (lobby areas, fitness center, pool, public restrooms, restaurant, kitchen, backhall service areas).
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors to ensure a clean and presentable appearance.
Perform weekly cleaning of restaurant furnishings, including tables, chairs, windows, mirrors, and glass.
Perform spot cleaning of stains on carpet in public space areas as needed.
Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments to ensure excellent quality and service.
Engage with guests and fellow associates using D.A.R.E. to Connect behaviours.
Handle and store chemicals according to hotel regulations and local legislative requirements.
Immediately report any health and safety incident, security breaches, or suspicious behavior to the supervisor.
Assist with deep cleaning projects as needed
May assist with other duties as assigned.
