FTE: _1 Shift: Days, Schedule: Mon-Fri Position Summary The Engineering Mechanic I is an advanced level opportunity on our Facility Operations team. In this role, you will ensure MultiCare patients and families have the best possible experience when visiting facilities across our health system.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Certificate of Licensure in one or more of the above identified areas preferred
  • Accomplished in six of the following basic areas: electrical, plumbing/mechanical, machine shop, general building maintenance, steam distribution, electronics, pneumatic tube system, AGVS, CPD equipment, fire alarm initiating and suppression systems, med gas, beds, and nurse call
  • Minimum six (6) years maintenance experience
  • Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state
  • Completion of Vocational Trade/Tech certification program or Certificate of Licensure in the identified areas
  • Medical gas ASSE 6040 certification after hire
  • ASHE Certified Health Care Physical Environment Worker required within 6 months of hire
  • On Call Required

Responsibilities

  • You will perform maintenance and major/minor repairs on facility equipment and systems
  • You will conduct daily operations and initiate corrective action
  • You will assist in training and mentorship of other staff
  • You will collaborate with supervisor in obtaining bids and inspections on externally run projects
  • You will partner with a service-oriented attitude and professional integrity
