About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Water Treatment and Reclaim (WTR) organization. This leader will oversee the Ultrapure Water (UPW) Engineering, Industrial Waste Treatment (IWT) Engineering, Controls Engineering, and Project Management teams. You will be at the forefront of ensuring 24/7 operational excellence, safety, and innovation across our water/wastewater utilities and infrastructure projects. This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for driving the performance of utility systems that are essential to semiconductor manufacturing, as well as leading capital improvement projects that ensure reliability, expand capacity, and support our long-term vision for sustainability and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 12 years of engineering experience in water/wastewater or facilities systems, with at least 6 years in leadership roles.

  • Prior experience in high-tech, semiconductor, or large-scale manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary engineering organization.
  • Set and drive clear performance expectations aligned with Samsung’s operational, safety, and environmental goals.
  • Serve as a senior representative to internal and external partners, including government agencies, vendors, and global Samsung fab teams.
  • Oversee the safe and efficient operations and maintenance of UPW, IWT, and water distribution systems.
  • Provide engineering guidance for site utility systems and 24/7 operations teams.
  • Continuously improve process technologies, system reliability, capacity, and process control.
  • Lead long-term capital planning and execution of infrastructure expansion and upgrade projects.
  • Support all aspects of design, budgeting, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure strategic alignment between engineering, operations, and construction teams.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, TCEQ, and all relevant local/state/federal environmental and safety regulations.
