About The Position
As the Transmission Line Engineering Manager at Black & Veatch, you will play a pivotal role in leading a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about managing diverse and challenging projects across our portfolio of design services and EPC programs. You will be responsible for overseeing design quality, budget, and schedule, ensuring that all projects meet client expectations and industry standards. Your role will also involve supporting client interactions, proposals, and business development efforts, making it essential to develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. In this position, you will actively manage project changes in coordination with the Project Manager, ensuring that all aspects of the project are aligned with client needs and expectations. You will review lower-level engineering work and assignments, coordinating multiple discipline activities and potentially serving as the engineer of record for assigned projects. Your ability to communicate client interests and drivers to project team members will be crucial in developing approaches that accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work. Additionally, you will provide guidance, mentorship, and direction to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. The position will entail occasional travel to support site visits, design reviews, and client meetings, allowing you to engage directly with clients and project sites.
