About The Position

If you are a Technical Project Manager or Project Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting role to share with you! As the Engineering Manager Regional Projects - Controls Applications , based in our Houston, TX office, you will lead regional engineering and administrative staff to provide customers with project identification and scope development for projects that will drive business volume growth. Additionally, you will assist with proposal development and lead all aspects for projects, including internal and external resources and suppliers. This role will be supporting our Power and Water Solutions business. Emerson’s five decades of power and water expertise embedded within the Ovation™ distributed control system (DCS) forms a reliable and innovative platform that evolves with rapidly changing technology to help improve plant reliability.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering or a related STEM field
  • 7+years’ related experience
  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within North America
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • OV400 certification and prior Ovation system experience
  • PE or PMP certification
  • Experience as a site manager or project manager
  • Demonstrated success leading technical or project teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineers supporting regional projects, services, and warranty work while also providing management and engineering support for other projects
  • Provide engineering support to maintain project timelines and assist major project startups
  • Build strong relationships with customers through clear communication, timely issue resolution, and consistently high performance
  • Collaborate with customers to address project‑related and warranty‑related needs
  • Conduct monthly project cost reviews and implement actions that strengthen project performance
  • Review project proposals for accuracy, clarity, and proper cost structure
  • Prepare monthly financial forecasts for sales and margin to support regional operations goals
