About The Position

Leads and directs a team of engineers and projects to achieve stated goals and objectives. Monitors and reports on overall performance of the team and projects. Establishes a performance-based culture, motivating the team to set and achieve measurable goals and objectives that align with PE CoE strategies. Performs design, modeling, simulation, and implementation of power electronics solutions for power conversion and protection. Develops technical requirements and creates technical reports and presentations. Works with the PE CoE director to attract, coach, and mentor team members, strengthening the technical capability of the team. Stays current with the latest power electronics technologies and business trends, applies knowledge to power conversion and protection applications, and creates new opportunities. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience in developing power electronics control or motor control, including the development of control architecture, algorithms, and embedded firmware.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with control and embedded FW validation with HIL (e.g., OPAL-RT HIL)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in team or project leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Master's or PhD in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Proficient in modeling, simulation, and analysis using Matlab/Simulink.
  • Experienced in embedded firmware architecture and programming in C/C++.
  • Proficient in developing and implementing controls with auto-code generation tools (e.g., Simulink Coder).
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented individual.
  • Strong desire for innovation, new product development, program management to make what matters work!
  • Position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel.
