About The Position

You will be the F-35 HITL Lab Operations Manager for the Lab Operations team which is responsible for supporting F-35 flight simulation and hardware‑in‑the‑loop environments. What You Will Be Doing As the F-35 HITL Lab Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading a high‑skilled technical team that delivers program execution and functional leadership across multiple lab venues. Your responsibilities will include: Direct program execution by managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for over 20 lab venues. Lead talent acquisition, labor planning, budgeting, performance assessments, and career development for the Lab Operations team. Maintain physical and data security, property management, configuration control, tool control, and calibration of test equipment. Oversee troubleshooting, repairs, and integration of advanced computing and image‑generating technologies to provide state‑of‑the‑art simulation environments. Build and sustain peer‑organization relationships, act as a trusted advisor, and communicate effectively with customers and program stakeholders. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in a STEM field (engineering highly desired)
  • Experience with leading technical teams, mentoring junior engineers, and/or experience forming and growing a high performing multidiscipline team
  • In-depth operational, developmental, integration, or test experience with modern avionics
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

  • Experience in System Integration Labs or Hardware in the loop labs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
  • Demonstrated ability to respond quickly to shifting priorities and to effortlessly multitask across those priorities, while inspiring collaboration, confidence, and motivation of a team in stressful and dynamic environments

  • Expertise in Metrics Collection, Risk and Opportunities Management, and Staffing
  • Familiarity with Digital Transformation processes, tools, common products, and infrastructure
