Requirements

  • BA or BS Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of software engineering in a DevOps environment with specific experience in data processing systems.
  • 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience writing code using best practices in a language such as Python, Java, Go, etc.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating reliable, fault-tolerant, and high performance distributed systems.
  • Proven ability to come up to speed quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 8-10 engineers to deliver high impact work.
  • Coach engineers, manage/review technical documentation, and articulate a phased approach to achieving the team's overall technical vision.
  • Be responsible for the mission, technical direction, and operations of projects that have immediate impact.
  • Own the systems that make our data discoverable and usable to power features that 50,000+ customers rely on daily to reach 4B+ consumers.
  • Partner with teams across the company to help them manage and leverage petabytes of data.
