As an Engineering Manager, you will be a technical leader responsible for guiding the Application Platform team to deliver next-generation solutions. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will shape the future of Guidewire’s platform, accelerate AI and cloud adoption, and ensure our products meet the evolving needs of global insurers. Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated Java mastery and strong object-oriented design skills.
  • Proven experience architecting cloud applications, preferably cloud-native, on modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Demonstrated experience working with AI systems, including integrating AI/ML or GenAI capabilities into production software or platforms.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams in cloud platform or enterprise software environments.
  • Strong technical background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and platform security.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to drive operational excellence and deliver measurable outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, innovative, and high-performing team culture.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with AI/ML integration, cloud-native architectures, and large-scale platform operations.
  • Familiarity with the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.
