About The Position

Airops (AOP) is the leading industry platform in airline and airport operations, delivering a seamless and personalized passenger experience, an optimized airport operation, and automated disruption resolution between airlines, airports, border and air traffic control. Within Airops, the Data and Platform department (DAP) has a central role, working on different cloud native products facilitating the use and exchange of data within all Airops products. The DAP department, supported by the assets of the Amadeus Creation Platform, is building simple and powerful data management capabilities and enabling near real-time data, big data insights and AI that benefit our customers and all our Airops teams and products. This includes middleware connecting airports with airlines, for example for biometric processing or baggage management. The DAP department is expanding with a new team in Bogota, composed of software development engineers, quality analyst, business analyst and devops. This team will be part of the Dataspark SAFe train, which is currently composed of 6 scrum teams. The Engineering Manager will work closely with the other team managers located in London, Nice and Bangalore. In this role you will report to Elisabeth Mithiaux, Senior Manager, Data and Platform, Engineering.

Requirements

  • 2 years or more of experience as an Engineering Manager in an Agile environment
  • Proven track record of working with a large set of stakeholders
  • Proven track record of working on mission critical products

Responsibilities

  • Build a diverse, T-shaped, engaged team and follow individual development plans of people.
  • Assist the team in delivering value thanks to your industry/product knowledge, on technical and functional level and be accountable for the results of the team.
  • Support the team with backlog management and prioritization, by communicating with the immediate stakeholders (product managers, senior manager, project managers).
  • Facilitate agile and continuous improvement mindset in the team and act as a change agent for Airops and Amadeus.
