About The Position

The Engineering Librarian at Florida State University serves as the academic liaison to the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering and other STEM departments. Requirements

• Graduate degree in a STEM discipline and/or ALA-accredited degree in library/information science.
• One year or more of professional working experience in a research library or other academic setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of the data and information needs of engineering researchers.

Nice To Haves

• Expertise using resources in engineering, computer science, or data science including databases, journals, and preprints.
• Experience or a strong interest in emerging technologies and uses within higher education and research.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the academic liaison to the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering and other STEM departments.
• Develop and implement outreach programs to engage Engineering students and faculty.
• Design and deliver library instructional sessions and learning materials.
• Provide reference services and research consultations to support academic departments.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on trends in academic librarianship and research.
