As the Engineering Lead for ethanol fueled mining trucks, you will architect and integrate new products, components, and technologies for 150 to 250-ton mining trucks. This position performs complex analysis work, identifies design problems, and resolves problems. Although this position may be the transition from individual contributor to team leadership, the major focus is on technical delivery. You will work directly with internal partners, suppliers, customers, and global teams. Your primary focus will be on an important initiative with Vale, a global mining giant. Recently Vale and Caterpillar announced an agreement that will focus on productivity and innovation, including carbon reduction initiatives. The aim is to support Vale in achieving its goals of reducing carbon emissions by 33% by 2030 and zeroing its net emissions by 2050. We will also begin a joint study on a dual-fuel solution for haul trucks operating on ethanol and diesel fuel. You'll be right in the middle of this, working with great people and making a real difference for the environment.
