As an Engineering Intern in our Design Engineering department, you will assist the Engineering team in their effort to develop, test, and modify solutions for the design and manufacture of new capital equipment. This role will require you to support the engineering team through a combination of administrative tasks and light drafting or engineering responsibilities.

Requirements

• Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong mathematical skills
• Ability to read 2D prints and understand the geometry of the 3D objects that are being represented
• Must be a quick learner, highly motivated self-starter and able to manage his/her own time wisely
• Strong interpersonal, listening, questioning and communication skills (oral and written)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation of detailed 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks CAD Software.
• Assist in the creation of engineering documentation including thorough and accurate Bills of Material.
• Support mechanical engineers by performing basic engineering tasks including calculations and tolerance analysis.
• Assist with other assignments as needed for the betterment of the team.
• Maintain a sense of urgency and execute tasks to meet project timelines.
