About The Position

Olsson offers clients a full spectrum of water resources services, including planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services. As a summer 2026 engineering student intern with our Water Resources team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You will work closely with other team members and engineers on client projects related to hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for stormwater and flood control management, floodplain management, and scour and erosion control. You’ll provide project design utilizing AutoCAD and ArcGIS Pro. You’ll assist with performing technical analysis, research, and writing technical reports. Depending on the projects, you may also have the opportunity to travel to job sites for field observation.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering (civil engineering preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS preferred
