About The Position

Engineer Internship – Summer Program Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week (Summer Internship) Are you looking for a great summer engineering internship opportunity in San Luis Obispo? We are seeking motivated and curious Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Quality Engineering students (or recent graduates) to join our Summer Engineer Internship Program. This hands-on internship offers real-world experience across the full engineering lifecycle in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Job Summary The Engineer Intern will support a variety of engineering activities, working closely with experienced engineers to assist with requirements, design, build, test, and delivery efforts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with hardware, and learning by doing. Requirements

  • Current Junior or Senior engineering student or recent engineering graduate
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated application of engineering principles and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on mindset with a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and get the job done
  • Ability to consistently comply with all safety requirements
  • Must present proof of authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to pass background check.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with engineering efforts across the full product lifecycle: requirements, design, build, test, and delivery
  • Support the development of solutions to complex technical problems
  • Build, assemble, and set up equipment
  • Assist in the creation and testing of prototypes
  • Help create and maintain build and technical documentation
  • Utilize machining tools to modify and fabricate parts
  • Assist with work packets and production-related documentation
  • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment
