The Engineering Intern will provide engineering support within the operation excellence & quality Department to carry out assigned projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. Projects will be assigned to continuously improve operations, efficiency, tooling, and processes. Primarily responsible for carrying out projects in engineering.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in degree program with a major related to engineering.
  • Hands on with MS office package (word, excel at minimum).
  • Strong reading & writing skills.
  • Ready to work on both production shopfloor and office setup.
  • Previous internship in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates manufacturing processes for improvements.
  • Develops routings, assembly guides, procedures, and illustrations.
  • Perform cycle time studies on shopfloor working with production team members.
  • Perform data collection & cleansing on manufacturing related data.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts for layout change & cycle time/setup reduction.
  • Evaluate rejects (units & data) & assist in developing correction plan.
  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance.
  • Inspect product (machined component & finished product) under quality engineer's direction.
  • Support projects & tasks assigned towards the quality improvement (DPM) plans.
  • Work with simple measurement tools like micrometer, caliper etc.
  • Work under direct guidance of the Focus Factory Manager.
