Internship & Co-Op Education Program is to provide students with assignments that allow them to make meaningful contributions to MTI, the ability to apply classroom theory to real world applications and be given the ability to demonstrate their capabilities and potential. MTI will also benefit from students sharing the latest state-of-the-art theory from their respective schools with managers and engineers.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university studying toward a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing).
• Must have completed the freshman year in the major program of study.
• Must have and maintain a minimum G.P.A. of 2.75/4.0.
• Candidates nearing final consideration must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Learn the basics of the foundry during the summer internship.
• Work on continuous improvement projects throughout all departments.
• Engage in various 3D modeling projects.
• Develop standardized processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Collect data of production and quality information as required for troubleshooting.
• Implement product handling and process flow improvements projects.
• Program within Excel to automate data entry and data collection.
