About The Position

This position involves collaborating with various teams to identify continuous improvement (CI) activities within manufacturing lines, focusing on waste reduction and efficiency enhancement. The role requires mapping current processes, developing maintenance procedures, and training operational teams, while also addressing production issues and implementing corrective actions to improve throughput.

Requirements

• Current college student, preferably entering senior year.
• Detail-oriented and task-oriented skills.
• Computer experience and knowledge of safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Corporate Quality, production, quality, and maintenance teams to identify CI activities across the manufacturing lines.
• Draw current state maps, identify non-value-added waste, and develop future state maps.
• Develop a basic understanding of lean and six sigma methodologies.
• Create autonomous maintenance procedures (CILs) and train the operations team on daily CIL PMs.
• Assist the maintenance and planning team in equipment scans and defect identification processes.
• Analyze root causes and implement appropriate corrective actions to solve throughput-related problems.
• Address production and post-production issues.
