About The Position

We are seeking an Engineering intern for Summer 2026 currently enrolled in university, to work with our Team at a construction site near Idaho Falls, ID. Role will be onsite at a construction site at Idaho National Lab. The ideal candidate for this position will reside a commutable distance from our Scoville, ID project office since no relocation assistance or per diem is offered for our internships. USA citizenship is required

Requirements

• US citizenship required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Must be an engineering student from an accredited university.Could be Electrical, Mechanical Civil or other engineering discipline
• The ideal candidate for this position will reside a commutable distance from our Scoville, ID project office.
• Must be able to secure and maintain a security clearance.
• Must pass drug testing.
• Must be able to read and write effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Work will include conducting frequent environmental surveillances in the field across an active construction site.
• Work will be split between the field and an office setting.
• Some walking and standing will occur in the course of a normal workday to perform environmental surveillances on Subcontractors.
• May carry light items, such as reports, data products, notebooks and laptops.
• Inspections will require bending and stooping on occasion
• Must embrace Beyond Zero/Safety principles to include: adhering to safe work practices and standards while performing daily tasks, taking responsibility for own and coworkers’ safekeeping and encouraging others to work safely.
• Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
• Must perform work activities requiring interaction, negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others.
• Must be able to work under supervision and respond appropriately and professionally to criticism from a supervisor.
