All internship positions are designed to give college students an opportunity to apply techniques learned in an academic setting while obtaining new skills. This is a paid internship offering full-time hours during the summer months. All interns are required to conclude the program by giving a formal presentation on their work. Please note that no relocation assistance or sponsorship is provided for the internship program at this time. Position Summary: As an Engineering Intern, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and optimization of our microfluidic platform. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment. The intern will work closely with experienced engineers and scientists to design, test, and implement microfluidic devices that advance research and diagnostic capabilities.

Requirements

• Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the internship
• Must have completed (at minimum) the sophomore year of college
• Must be able to work full-time during the duration of the internship program
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in biotechnology, microfluidics, automation or related areas.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior laboratory or engineering project experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and testing of microfluidic systems and components.
• Conduct experiments and analyze data to improve precision, efficiency, and reliability of microfluidic systems and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, process engineering, assay development.
• Contribute to the development of documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for microfluidic systems.
• Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to address process-related challenges.
• Engage in continuous learning activities to stay informed on the latest technologies and trends in micro dispensing and biotechnology.
