Become a part of the “strength within.” Hexcel is currently seeking a Summer Intern - Engineering for our Casa Grande, AZ, USA location. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: Utilize skills learned in formal education program(s) to complete assigned projects Interact directly with Hexcel leaders to discuss strategy and the future of Hexcel Build a lasting professional network through social events and engaging activities Project based work as assigned by department manager will vary but may include: analyzing and interpreting manufacturing techniques, procedures, test results, competitive products, and processing conditions in the production of carbon fiber materials and composites, perform testing and recommend process improvement on materials, safety analysis and improvement projects, development of engineering cost proposals and project scheduling

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program with minimum of 1 year completed at an accredited college or university in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Science, Manufacturing, Industrial), Computer Science/Data Analytics, or any other technical related degrees
  • 3.0 out of 4.0 overall GPA or higher
  • Ability to work full-time on site for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer 2024
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member with great communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills required
  • Passionate about aerospace, manufacturing, and innovation
  • Eligible candidates must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • Minitab, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SQL, or related programming languages a plus
