About The Position

We are currently looking for an Engineering Intern to join our team in Smyrna, TN. A Day in the Life: Support daily production processes and address quality‑related concerns within assigned process areas. Build and maintain strong working relationships with production, maintenance, and quality teams. Participate in cross‑functional workgroups and problem‑solving teams to drive operational improvements. Analyze part drawings, components, equipment performance, warranty data, and dimensional layout results to resolve issues related to quality, fit & finish, and maintenance. Oversee a designated process area or commodity group, including tooling and line‑side functions. Maintain and update process sheets to reflect process changes, design revisions, trial parts, and kaizen improvements. Represent the workgroup and management in cross‑functional initiatives, contributing to both short‑term and long‑term countermeasures across departments or plants. Apply data‑driven problem‑solving methodologies and deliver clear, effective report‑outs to all levels of management.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Engineering- mechanical, electrical preferred.
• Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
• Self-motivated and ability to multi-task with day-to-day priorities
• Great communication skills both written and oral
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Access, etc.
• GPA of 3.0 or above (Candidates will be required to provide an official or unofficial transcript during the application process for verification.)
• Ability to perform work onsite at Smyrna, TN.
