About The Position

AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern to be based in Conshohocken, PA . This position is expected to begin in June 2026. Requirements

  • Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering with an emphasis on water resources, water or wastewater treatment, conveyance/pipelines, or related field and must have completed at least two of years of study.
  • Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions.
  • Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
  • Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship is required.

  • Documents time and effort accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various technical engineering tasks for the planning, design, and construction phases of water/wastewater treatment design projects.
  • Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections using Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Prepare engineering calculations and develop drawings and visual aids
  • Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
  • Water/wastewater treatment evaluation and design
  • Pump station evaluation and design
  • Water distribution system hydraulic modeling, analysis, and design
  • Sewer collection system evaluation and design
  • Stormwater modeling, analysis, and design
