The Engineering Intern will apply concrete experiences and abstract principles to chemical manufacturing and/or development activities. They will perform simulations, scale-up calculations, investigations, and laboratory work, and/or evaluate manufacturing data, perform statistical analysis, and write technical reports of manufacturing campaigns. There is potential to propose and implement process improvements, become familiar with cGMP operations and documentation, demonstrate problem-solving skills within interdisciplinary team environments, and acquire new skills in support of project goals.

Requirements

  • Attainment of Sophomore standing at an accredited postsecondary institution.
  • Ability to read and understand common technical literature.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with peers and management.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to apply problem solving to assigned tasks.
  • Knowledge and ability applying problem solving as demonstrated with schoolwork performance and work experience.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and visual basic.
  • Ability to make calculations and report results required for assigned work activities.
  • Basic knowledge of chemical manufacturing unit operations.
  • Fundamental knowledge of statistical analysis and troubleshooting problems.
  • Ability to write technical reports.

Nice To Haves

  • Junior standing preferred.

Responsibilities
