Coleman Company, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in Savannah, GA. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in both civil engineering and land surveying disciplines. The intern will work directly with experienced engineers, designers, and survey professionals on a variety of land development and municipal projects, gaining practical knowledge in real-world engineering processes.

  • Support civil engineering projects by assisting with research, design documentation, and basic engineering calculations.
  • Utilize AutoCAD or similar design software to support the development of drawings, plans, and exhibits.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing construction documents, including specifications and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Participate in site visits and client meetings to observe project management and field operations.
  • Learn and apply industry standards, codes, and regulations relevant to civil engineering and surveying.
  • Assist in drafting technical reports, summaries, and presentations.
  • Maintain organized and accurate project records and documentation.

  • Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering or Land Surveying program at an accredited university.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in civil engineering or surveying.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design software preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills — written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
