About The Position

Featuring complete aircraft nose-to-tail, value-added offerings, including Aircraft & Component Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Services (MRO), Aircraft & Engine Sales and Leasing, Used Serviceable Material (USM) Sales and Parts Exchange, Flight Equipment Asset Management Services, and internally developed aircraft and component modifications (engineered solutions) designed to enhance aircraft performance and operating economics (e.g. AerSale®, AerTrak® and AerAware). The Engineering Intern position is designed to provide students with an experience in which to apply classroom theory, gain practical industry knowledge, develop employer-valued skills, and expose them to the environment and performance expectations of employers.

Requirements

• Beginner's experience level in the use of SolidWorks is beneficial.
• Course of study in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Basic use of hand tools and mechanical inclination.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of SolidWorks CAD modeling.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with an experience to apply classroom theory.
• Gain practical industry and/or professional knowledge.

• Expose students to the environment and performance expectations of employers.
• Design and reproduce a mechanical device in SolidWorks.
• Create and implement a database.
