About The Position

The Engineering Intern position for Summer 2026 is located in Amory, MS. This internship is targeted at current Junior or Senior undergraduate students majoring in Engineering. The internship will last from May to August 2026, requiring full-time commitment of 40 hours per week over a duration of 12-15 weeks. Interns will engage in various engineering projects and gain exposure to different aspects of engineering practices. Additionally, interns will participate in summer Career Readiness programming, which offers professional development and networking opportunities to help transition from college to career.

Requirements

• Current Junior or Senior undergraduate student in the areas of mechanical, industrial, general, or nuclear engineering.
• Experience using 3D CAD Software, Data Management (Windchill), FEA, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience using a MRP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of knife gate valves, focusing on performance, durability, and application-specific requirements.
• Support projects by performing testing and validation to ensure products meet pressure, safety, and reliability standards.
• Perform engineering design calculations related to load and stress to validate product integrity and optimize component performance.
