About the location: Lafayette, IN is located approximately 60 miles from the state's capital, Indianapolis and is the home to Purdue University. Our Lafayette location has been continuously running in Lafayette community since 1938. We are an Aluminum Extrusions plant for Aerospace, Automotive, Industrial and Defense facility.   • Coordinate material, product, and/or process qualifications per customer test plans
  • Support product and process development efforts on the manufacturing floor
  • Acquire and analyze production data to identify areas for change and improvement
  • Collaborate with commercial teams on reviewing new business opportunities
  • Assist with maintenance, repairs, project planning, and other tasks as assigned
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Materials Engineering, Aeronautics and Astronautics, Aeronautical Engineering Technology
  • Minimum 1 year of engineering coursework completed (Must be at least an upcoming Sophomore)
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
  • 2+ years of engineering coursework completed
  • Experience with 2D/3D modeling software, AutoCAD/SolidWorks, or other applicable modeling software
  • 3.0 GPA and above
  • Hands-on learning experience
  • Opportunity to sharpen skills by applying education to real-world complexities
