Engineering Intern - Summer 2026 (Civil or Environmental)
About The Position
SCS Engineers is looking for a summer 2026 intern for our Bedford, TX office. This opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience in both technical engineering and business operations through a diverse range of client projects while giving you the chance to explore the beginnings of your own career path. As an intern, you'll work alongside experienced professionals on projects centered around civil engineering principals (i.e., site development, drainage, soil mechanics, fluid mechanics, etc.) with emphasis on solid waste facilities, including but not limited to, landfill liner, gas collection system, and drainage design, permitting, and construction; transfer station design and permitting; geotechnical analyses and subsurface investigations; site development; and sustainability projects. You will typically work 40 hours per week.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil, environmental, or biological/biosystems engineering required.
- Must be willing to live in the Bedford area for Summer 2026 (housing allowance will not be provided).
- Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.
- Ability to travel overnight for work outside of an office setting may be required.
Nice To Haves
- AutoCAD experience preferred.
