The Engineering Intern will work with the Engineering team on a variety of specific projects and areas as noted below. This position will report directly to the Engineering Director but will have exposure to the wider business teams. Interns will complete a capstone type project over the summer culminating in a presentation to business leadership. Key Projects: Problem solving and learning about modern technologies. Communication of ideas and questions Engineering in a cross-functional team (Mechanical, Electrical, Software) Inquisitive nature & self-starter who can implement with minimal guidance Ability to effectively communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of Product Engineering and Product Management Demonstrated ability to effectively share technical information Stay current and help select and implement modern technologies Share knowledge and champion best practices

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Rising junior or senior
  • Strong interest in applying Engineering knowledge to practical problems
  • Ability to comply with deadlines
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Interest in technology and process improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • No previous experience required
