We are currently offering a paid Engineering Internship Site Civil in our Ohio, Kentucky or Indiana offices.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a Civil Engineering bachelor's degree program at an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Eagerness to learn multidisciplinary engineering with emphasis on civil design.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with site development planning and design for private and public projects, including stormwater management, water/wastewater systems, roadway and parking lot layouts, grading, erosion and sediment control, site due diligence, and construction details/specifications.
  • Support the permitting process for commercial, residential, and industrial site development projects.
  • Prepare calculations, reports, and detailed design documents for construction plans.
  • Work with the design team on various project phases, from feasibility through final plan preparation.
  • Use computer-assisted engineering software and tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) to support design tasks.
  • Collect, organize, and prepare data for engineering evaluation.
  • Provide project support through drafting, computations, and quality review/proofing as needed.
