Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and materials laboratory located in Grove City, OH manages the entire life cycle of all our products including supply chain development, research and development, manufacturing, testing and distribution. Summary The Engineering Intern works on meaningful projects that benefit Tosoh SMD’s (TSMD) technical teams and provide the intern with hands-on experience in their field of study. Engineering Interns support TSMD’s technical teams with testing, process and product development, problem solving, and/or continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Undergraduate college student pursuing an engineering major or equivalent.
Effective organizational and time management skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills and willingness to take direction and collaborate with others.
Computer literacy required.
Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as defined by process.

Responsibilities

Completes project work, as assigned.
Collects and analyzes data, maintaining clear and detailed documentation.
Assists the technical teams with problem solving, investigations, and other tasks as issues arise.
Supports continuous improvement by bringing suggestions and new ideas.
Understands and adheres to all safety requirements.
Communicates identified risks to leadership and assists in resolution.
Completes all 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) standards to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Contributes to culture through alignment with company values and code of conduct.
Maintains a positive attitude, displays enthusiasm for assigned tasks, and communicates effectively and professionally with team members.
Other related duties.
