About The Position

As an intern on our Infrastructure team you will work on the team responsible for the core of Lumafield's network infrastructure. You'll have a mentor for the summer who will show you the ropes and help you learn, contribute and grow. You'll also have plenty of time in our Cambridge office to meet and network with team members across Lumafield to learn about the ins and outs of a hypergrowth hardtech startup. Join us!

Requirements

  • Currently studying for an engineering, computer science, or information technology degree
  • Experience in a Linux environment
  • Experience with Firewalls, Routers, Switches, WAPs, etc.
  • Excited to get your hands dirty configuring machines that power our Voyager software
  • Motivated by moving fast, getting feedback, and providing support to help unlock productivity and growth

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with OPNsense, UniFi, or Tailscale
  • Networking experience
  • Cybersecurity experience
  • Prior startup experience
  • A strong portfolio, blog, github, or profile we can review

Responsibilities

  • Touch all aspects of an enterprise server rack, from network management and switch configuration to building and deploying physical server platforms
  • Help maintain operational excellence through deploying and troubleshooting in-office infrastructure
  • Root cause and solve issues with employee workstations and software
  • Work closely with your mentor on Lumafield's Infrastructure team
  • Work out of our Cambridge, MA HQ
