About the position

We are seeking a motivated and talented Maintenance Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship is designed for community college students and offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience in the rapidly evolving field of mechatronics. You will work side-by-side with our engineering and maintenance teams on projects that integrate mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, while also supporting operational improvements on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechatronic systems and components.
  • Work directly with our maintenance team to support routine and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Help in the development of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) work instructions.
  • Conduct experiments and simulations to validate system performance.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and reports.
  • Learn and contribute to the use of CAD software, simulation tools, and microcontroller platforms.
  • Participate in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) startup activities.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a community college program in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of mechatronic systems and principles.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and basic simulation tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Interest in industrial technology, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and apply classroom concepts in a professional environment.
