About The Position

The Engineering Intelligence Intern will support cross-functional engineering initiatives by assisting with project coordination, lab-based testing activities, and technical documentation. This role offers exposure to real-world medical device development and manufacturing processes within a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined, detail-oriented student who is interested in learning how engineering projects move from concept to execution in the medical device industry. Hours: 30- 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar)
• College Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working in lab environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Commitment to learning and adhering to safety and quality protocols

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to project management tools or dashboards
• Prior lab, manufacturing, or engineering internship experience
• Interest in medical device, healthcare technology, or regulated industries

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in coordinating project activities and tracking milestones
• Attend engineering meetings and capture key action items
• Maintain and update project dashboards and status trackers
• Support the creation and publishing of project documentation and collateral
• Help organize team events, project communications, and cross-functional updates
• Assist with procurement tasks such as ordering materials and team supplies
• Support engineering testing activities in the TransMedics laboratory
• Assist with test setup, execution, and documentation under engineer supervision
• Record and organize test data in accordance with quality standards
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and lab procedures
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process efficiencies
