Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of work experience in a technical field related to permitting, engineering, civil construction, surveying, or utilities for Engineering Tech I.
• Two years of work experience as an Engineering Tech I or four years in a related technical field for Engineering Tech II.

Responsibilities

• Permit and inspect work occurring within the public road right-of-way.
• Coordinate with utilities, contractors, the County Road Crew, and citizens.
• Perform right-of-way research and computer data entry.
• Maintain databases and record keeping.
• Conduct annual pavement rating and utility franchise management.
• Collect and analyze traffic data and report traffic accidents.
• Assist in capital project construction inspections.
