AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Position Overview The Engineering Development Program (EDP) is designed for exceptional recent graduates who want to develop hands-on expertise in spacecraft mechanisms and integration. Participants will work directly on the production floor supporting the assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) of spacecraft mechanisms and subsystems. Through this program, participants will gain deep practical experience with spacecraft hardware, build leadership skills, and progress through a structured career path: Engineering Technician → Associate Mechanisms Engineer → Mechanisms Engineer or Supervisor This program offers a rare opportunity to learn spacecraft hardware from the ground up, combining hands-on assembly and testing experience with early exposure to engineering decision-making, process improvement, and leadership responsibilities.
