About The Position

The Engineering Designer will assist in the creation of product models, assemblies, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drawings in AutoCAD LT & SolidWorks for commercial and production facility needs under direction of the Product Manager. The Engineering Designer will maintain product drawings by processing all necessary changes and create drawings per standards. The Engineering Designer will also perform product calculations and make recommendations for specific elements of a product design in accordance with the applicable codes and standards to which the products are manufactured.

Requirements

• Proficient 2D drawing through use of AutoCAD LT.
• Communication skills to organize problem solving, which is then reflected in product drawings, Bill of Materials, etc
• Mechanical drawing knowledge
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Must have strong math skills
• Must be detail oriented
• Must work well with a team

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of GD&T and weld call outs

Responsibilities

• Create new product drawings/models and complete necessary calculations
• Create and/or update product drawings and calculations as necessary for product modifications
• Generate and track Change Requests and New Product Requests with research for the required change
• Apply basic engineering principles in the design of new or modified products
