About The Position

The Engineering and Design Intern will work closely with Inspire Brands’ Engineering and Design team to support the development and optimization of store layouts, equipment designs, and operational processes across our portfolio of restaurant brands. This role provides an exciting opportunity to engage in hands-on design work, operational analysis, and innovative problem-solving to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiencies. Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in design principles, technical aptitude, and analytical thinking.
  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with project management tools is preferred.
  • Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Concept Design Development: Assist in creating and refining store layouts and equipment designs for new restaurant concepts or remodels using design tools like AutoCAD or Revit.
  • Operational Efficiency Analysis: Conduct time-motion studies and workflow analyses to optimize store operations and improve labor efficiency.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Support the testing and evaluation of new equipment and layout configurations, gathering data to inform decision-making.
  • Collaboration Across Teams: Partner with operations, supply chain, and marketing teams to align design and engineering efforts with broader brand goals.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Participate in projects focused on implementing sustainable design solutions and energy-efficient equipment.
