Engineering/Data Analytics Intern
About The Position
MTSI is seeking a highly motivated student for a cooperative educational (co-op) position in our Huntsville, AL office. This position is focused on Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) of homeland defense scenarios. Responsibilities include: · Learning and utilizing existing software applications to define, configure, and execute simulation scenarios · Processing simulation outputs to perform data analysis and to derive meaningful insights · Creating professional presentations to effectively communicate analysis results · Collaborating with the team to refine simulations and improve analytical methodologies
Requirements
- Engineering student with a focus on engineering, data science and/or computer science fields
- GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain/maintain a US government security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team
- MATLAB and/or Python with knowledge of reading/parsing data files, data filtering and plotting
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts
- Knowledge of Git and Agile development methodologies
- Experience with Linux operating systems
