About The Position

The Engineering Coordinator at Genesis Alkali is responsible for overseeing engineering operations at the Sesqui Plant, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency in capital project execution and continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves technical leadership, coordination of engineering activities, and development of direct reports, contributing to the overall success of the underground mine and surface operations.

Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering/Chemistry
• 3 years engineering experience
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Demonstrated leadership skills

Nice To Haves

• 5 years engineering experience
• 2 - 3 years project management experience

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety as a number one priority
• Prepare capital plan and coordinate capital projects
• Oversee the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Process
• Lead Continuous Cost Improvement (CCI) efforts
• Coordinate engineering activities
• Oversee the Management of Change (MOC) Process
• Provide relief for Production Supervisors, Production Manager, and Unit Manager
• Participate in process and safety improvements
• Demonstrate technical leadership
• Develop direct reports
