The Engineering Coordinator for MasTec Power Delivery supports the day-to-day operations of the engineering and project teams responsible for transmission and substation projects in our Major Projects team. This role ensures smooth coordination between office and field operations by handling administrative tasks, managing project documentation, and facilitating communication across engineering, construction, safety, and client teams. The coordinator helps keep projects organized, compliant, and move efficiently from design through execution.

  • Provide administrative and operational support to engineering leads, project managers, and field teams.
  • Coordinate scheduling, meetings, and communications across engineering, construction, procurement, and safety groups.
  • Maintain and update project documentation, drawings, permits, specifications, and QA/QC records in accordance with MasTec standards.
  • Track project milestones, engineering deliverables, and submission deadlines for transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
  • Assist with reporting for internal leadership and external clients, including progress updates, document logs, and compliance records.
  • Support coordination with utility clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely information flow and resource availability.
  • Help manage onboarding processes for new engineering team members and support training coordination.
  • Assist with procurement requests, software license management, and equipment tracking specific to engineering needs.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency, documentation accuracy, and workflow reliability across the department.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent industry experience also considered.
  • 1+ years of administrative, coordination, or project support experience—preferably in utility construction, power delivery, engineering, or infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of document control practices and project workflows in an engineering or construction environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both office and field personnel.
  • Highly organized, detail-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a commitment to accuracy, safety, and operational excellence.
