Idaho Power - located in vibrant Boise, Idaho - is looking for two Engineering and Construction Project Manager or Seniors to join our Resource Execution Projects team in the Planning, Engineering, and Construction department with a focus on new supply-side resource projects primarily consisting of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Wind, Solar, and other technologies as applicable. It's an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. Our work plays a critical role in communities we serve across Idaho and Oregon, and we're working hard to safely provide our customers with the reliable, affordable, clean energy they depend on. Idaho Power's service territory continues to experience customer growth and an increasing peak demand (load) for electricity. Idaho Power anticipates sustained load growth that will require the procurement of new resources to meet peak demand and maintain system reliability. The addition of new resources is critical to ensure Idaho Power can continue to reliably meet the growing demands on its electrical system and serve its customers. While this position is based at Idaho Power's downtown Boise location, we offer both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote.

  • Responsible for all facets of project management of a variety of resource-based projects.
  • Lead the successful development and execution of project plans, including safety, scope, cost, schedule, cash flow, quality and risk for multi-discipline construction projects.
  • Lead project team members and subject matter experts and direct performance of the team to achieve completion of the project on schedule and within budget.
  • Typically lead multiple projects simultaneously and exercise latitude and technical judgment in decision-making and independent action.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of related project management or engineering experience for Engineering and Construction Project Manager.
  • 6 years of related project management or engineering experience, including at least 3 years of full-scope utility project management for Senior Engineering and Construction Project Manager.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position.
  • Knowledge of complex engineering systems.
  • Experience with BESS, Wind, and Solar resource project development and operations including supply agreements negotiation, project execution, and contract management.
  • Experience with Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) contracts.
  • Experience with project siting and permitting including public outreach.
  • Experience with inspection and quality control.
  • Experience with material and equipment procurement.
  • Experience with Build-Transfer Agreements (BTA), Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), and Battery Storage Agreements (BSA).
