The Spincraft Division of Standex International is a leader in precision-fabricated metal components for the aerospace, defense, aviation, nuclear, and energy industries. Processes performed at Spincraft include metal spinning, forming, expanding, CNC machining, heat treatment, welding, and assembly. We work with a wide range of alloys in providing metalworking solutions to our customers.
Spincraft is presently looking to hire an intern for the North Billerica, MA location. The selected candidates can expect to get involved in generating/reviewing process routings, developing process control sheets, sketching and drafting from instruction, analyzing data, designing components and tooling, and other miscellaneous job duties as they arise to support the Engineering Department. The individuals will get the opportunity to spend time both on the floor and in the Engineering Department. Hours will be somewhat flexible to accommodate the individual's school and holiday schedule.
Potential candidates should have completed their sophomore year in the areas of Industrial/Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering. Experience in SolidWorks or other CAD software is desired but not a requirement.
