About the position

The Engineering Co-op student will work alongside Senior Project Managers on multiple projects during the planning, designing, and construction phases. While at Sarepta, we will give you a panoramic view of how project management and engineering work, how decisions are made, how design drawings are built and progress, how construction gets done, and how important your professional networks, connections, and collaborations will be in defining your long-term career experience. We aim to give you the skills, insight, and career guidance to be an essential part of your professional development. This application is for a 6-month co-op program that will start on July 7th, 2025, and conclude on December 19th, 2025. This is a full-time, 40 hours a week, co-op program.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Project Manager responsible for project design, supervision, control, and monitoring using the Project Management process to ensure designs and specifications achieve the desired objective, focusing on reduced costs, improved efficiency, quality, and GXP compliance.
  • Assist in the selection and supervision of the engineering contractor as needed.
  • Assist in developing and presenting recommended project solutions along with realistic cost estimates to internal clients.
  • Review and understand engineering drawings that include equipment recommendations.
  • Assist with developing, reviewing, and understanding specifications for new equipment with equipment vendors and specifications for facility modifications with contractors and site customers.
  • Perform a walk-thru and redline Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Assist in creating engineering standards in offices, laboratories, and commercial manufacturing buildings.
  • Support the Senior Project Manager accountable for controlling and supervising construction phases of engineering projects to ensure that the project is implemented per the established scope, on time, and within budget.
  • Assist in creating detailed bid packages for contractors and equipment vendors.
  • Supervise quality of work and resolve any quality or job performance deficiencies.
  • Assist with installing and commissioning equipment and/or modifying facilities to meet site customer and company client requirements.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate (junior or senior) or graduate students pursuing a degree in an Engineering program (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related subject area).
  • Experience with Power BI, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, and/or Excel.
  • Ability to be a team member and a team leader.
  • Evidence of good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Evidence of time leadership skills.
