About The Position

Position Summary Support manufacturing through CAD drawings, process improvements, 3D printing, tool testing, and mechanical troubleshooting. Requires strong design, communication, and time management skills. Essential Functions: Work with plant engineering to draw cellular manufacturing layouts Knowledge, understanding, and ability to manage 3D printers Use CAD to create process prints for manufacturing Create tooling drawings for various manufacturing processes Work with manufacturing and lean engineers on plant process improvement activities Complete tool testing Troubleshoot and fix complex mechanical systems Good understanding of design process Good understanding of creating assemblies and drawings complete with BOM Good project management and communication skills Able to work effectively independently and in a team setting Complete other duties as assigned Qualifications: Minimum GPA of 3.0 Currently enrolled Sophomore, Junior, Senior or master's program student Majors: All mechanical engineering majors Microsoft Office proficiency Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requirements

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Currently enrolled Sophomore, Junior, Senior or master's program student
  • Majors: All mechanical engineering majors
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Good understanding of design process
  • Good understanding of creating assemblies and drawings complete with BOM
  • Good project management and communication skills
